South Korean model-turned-actor Hoyeon received worldwide recognition and critical acclaim following the worldwide achievement of the Netflix original series, Squid Game, in which she appeared as Kan Sae-byeok, popularly known by the name of Player 067. Hoyeon earned the Screen Actors Guild Award in Outstanding Performance by Female Actors in Drama Series. The actress also got a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series. She is from Myeonmok-dong located in the suburbs of Seoul, Hoyeon began her professional career by working as a model freelance in 2011 walking in Seoul Fashion Week. Hoyeon was a contestant on Seoul's fourth series of Next Top Model and placed in the runner-up position. The international spotlight came at the end of 2016 when Louis Vuitton offered her an exclusive contract worldwide. Since then, she's participated in various campaigns and walked the runway for designers like Chanel, Fendi, Miu Miu, Marc Jacobs, and Moschino to name just a several.
