Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire is a sleepy town on the island of Montreal known as the West Island. This is also known as the West Island, which is often referred to as a separate "island" located west of Montreal by people who are unfamiliar with it, actually is a whole area west of Lachine. Amanda Brugel is said to be from the West Island. However, the time she spent there was brief. Brugel had a childhood in Courtice near Oshawa, Ontario. The first goal she had was to be a dancer, but a growth spurt meant that she literally outgrew her dance partners. She admitted in an article released by the Toronto Star that she was 6'1" tall when wearing heels. After I outgrew my male partners, I stopped. Many former dancers turn towards acting. In the case of Brugel, it was the guidance of a drama teacher at her high school that led her in the direction she required. The teacher was the one who encouraged her to try out as Anne in the school's annual production. It was the teacher who suggested that she take on a part in the annual school production. In the end, she was chosen to play Anne of Green Gables. The show was a recipient of an Fine Arts Talent scholarship at York University, where she studied Theatre and received a Bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in 2000.
